CTED Artists in Residence Exhibition at the 2026 Papa Festival in Ghana

Overview: On Sunday, March 15, Prof. Yaw Nyarko hosted the CTED Artists in Residence Exhibition during the annual Papa Festival in Ghana. The Papa Festival is a long-standing tradition that commemorates one of Kumawu’s most legendary leaders, Papa Nantwi. It reflects the deep reverence the Kumawuman (people of Kumawu) have for his bravery and sacrifice, while honoring the ancestors who followed in his footsteps.

During this year's edition, CTED's Artists in Residence hosted an exhibition showcasing the Ashanti culture of the region. It was attended by both local and international guests. Plan to join us at our next arts exhibition in Ghana in October.
