Overview:

This event was organized and moderated by Professor Raša Karapandža and Professor Yaw Nyarko on the occasion of COP28 being held in the UAE. Participation included a diverse group of speakers from universities, policymakers, and government. The event featured presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions on various topics related to economic policy, climate change, and resilience. Presentations and remarks were given by Professor Raša Karapandža and Professor Yaw Nyarko (presented on Climate Change using Blockchain); Dr. Jean Fares, CEO of Investopia and Senior Advisor to the Minister of Economy of the UAE; H.E. Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the UAE; Dr. Bassem Kamar, UAE Central Bank; and other distinguished experts from institutions such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Sessions on the application of blockchain technologies, digital money, and finance for resilience in the context of climate change. Comparative discussions on climate change impacts and economic resilience in Ethiopia and Ghana, with insights from global and local experts.
