Overview:

Hosted by Ripple, Professors Yaw Nyarko and Raša Karapandža delivered a presentation on the “CTED Volta Initiative.” Professors Nyarko and Karapandža had the opportunity to meet with Eric van Miltenburg, Ken Weber, and Lauren Weymouth to exchange ideas on the future of the Volta Initiative and discuss the “CTED Volta” project in more detail. They also engaged with the broader UBRI and Ripple leadership and community to explore opportunities for collaboration and further development of the initiative. Their session at APEX was among the most well-attended and received excellent feedback from participants, highlighting strong interest in the Volta Initiative and its potential impact. Received the UBRI Impact Award for our work in Ghana, where we provide interest-free credit to impoverished farmers using Volta. Through our grant, we funded the conference and student hackathon participation of Naavya Sethi, the head of the development team of the NYU Blockchain and FinTech Club at Stern School of Business.
