Who Are We?
The Center for Technology, Economics, and Development (CTED) is a global research hub creating innovative solutions to major global challenges — including financial inclusion, food systems, migration, energy, and AI.
Founded in 2010, CTED unites experts from economics, policy, tech, and engineering to translate research into practical impact. Our mission: to use technology and economics to drive inclusive development, especially in underserved regions.
We partner with local institutions to pilot and scale solutions across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas — from blockchain agriculture tools in Ghana to AI for commodity markets.
With branches in New York, Abu Dhabi, Ghana, and Germany, CTED sits at the nexus of research, innovation, and development, turning big ideas into real-world change.
