Center for Technology, Economics, and Development (CTED) Launches CTED Excellence Program in Ghana

The CTED Excellence Program, an initiative of CTED's leadership, aims to develop vital academic pathways for secondary students in Africa. Starting in Angola and Ghana, the CTED Excellence Program was launched with Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School (TKSHS) in Kumawu, Ghana, on the campus where CTED’s Research Center is located, and Complexo Escolar Privado Internacional (CEPI) in Angola to help students access transformative higher education opportunities in the U.S., Europe, and beyond.

For two days, between October 21 - 22, 2025, Eudora Okine, Associate Director of Admissions, New York University Abu Dhabi, was in Ghana for an insightful session with students selected for the program. In her session, she shared her personal journey, reinforced the importance of betting on oneself and taking hold of opportunities, and key qualities to build as a student aspiring for greatness. The students got a chance to ask questions, engage in reflection sessions, and learn about university application requirements and funding options.
